Dr. Maria A. Gwynn, CERC fellow and CAS Arbitrator, was an invited speaker at the International Legal Colloquium on the Rule of Law and Sport Integrity which took place at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, on 17 October, 2025. The event was organised as the Forum preceding the tenth session of the Conference of Parties to the International Convention against Doping in Sport. Today, the Convention has 192 State Parties, and Dr Gwynn analysed the international legal framework, implementation and proposals for reform of said Convention.

Following this conference, Dr. Maria Gwynn is offering a seminar on "International Sports Law and Arbitration".

The seminar offers students the opportunity to learn about sports law, about specific regulations from international federations in the field, and about the specialized arbitration process through the Code of Arbitration for Sports. The seminar shall discuss universal standard norms and principles derived from this field; the procedures of sports arbitration; as well as main decisions issued by the Court of Arbitration for Sports regarding disputes submitted to it.

It consists of five block meetings, including an organised visit to the Ministry of Sport. The dates are:

November 7, 2025

December 5, 2025

December 19, 2025

January 9, 2026 - Institutional visit
